Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Dextr does and does not collect, how we use it, and when it may be shared with our service providers.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
Dextr does not transmit your personal contact information, contacts, or other user content stored in the app to us or to analytics, attribution, subscription service providers, or any other third-party.
2. Data We Collect
Dextr collects limited app, device, attribution, and subscription information to operate the app, measure performance, and understand how people find and use Dextr. This information may include:
- App usage and interaction events.
- Basic device and app information, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and language.
- Diagnostic and performance information.
- Permission states, such as whether notifications or location access are enabled.
- Attribution and link data, such as campaign, referrer, or deep-link information when you open a Dextr or creator link.
- Purchase and subscription information, such as product identifier, transaction identifier, price, currency, purchase date, and storefront region.
Dextr uses PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics, Dub for creator and campaign link attribution, and RevenueCat for subscription management.
Dextr does not use Apple’s IDFA for advertising tracking.
3. How We Use This Data
We use this information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve Dextr.
- Understand feature usage and app performance.
- Diagnose bugs, crashes, and reliability issues.
- Measure installs, creator or campaign attribution, and deep-link performance.
- Process, validate, and measure subscriptions and purchases.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Dextr, including:
- PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics.
- Dub for creator and campaign link attribution.
- RevenueCat for subscription and purchase infrastructure.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Dextr, our users, or others.
5. User Consent & Permissions
We follow Apple’s iOS permission framework. Where required, you grant or deny access through Apple’s system prompts, such as for contacts, notifications, or location.
Dextr does not request App Tracking Transparency permission to access IDFA because Dextr does not use IDFA for advertising tracking.
If you open a Dextr link, creator link, or ad campaign link, Dextr and its attribution providers may process link and campaign information to route the link and measure performance.
6. User Rights & Control
You can control many app permissions directly in iOS Settings, including contacts, notifications, and location.
You can manage subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings.

7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by Dextr and our service providers, including encrypted data transmission and access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
8. Data Retention
We and our service providers retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, analyze performance, measure subscriptions and attribution, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
User content stored in the app remains under your control through your device and iCloud account.
9. International Data Transfers
Dextr and its service providers may process information on servers located outside your country of residence. When this occurs, we rely on appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on our website or within the app and update the “Last Updated” date above.
